About The Glens Falls Civic Center

Glens Falls Civic Center is a 4,806-seat multi-purpose arena located in downtown Glens Falls, New York. Built in 1979, it was originally the home of the Adirondack Red Wings, the former American Hockey League affiliate for the Detroit Red Wings.  Despite a ten-year hiatus from AHL hockey, the city was able to convince the Phantoms owners to relocate the franchise to Glens Falls in 2009.  The Adirondack Phantoms (AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers) will enter their third season of AHL hockey at the Civic Center in October.

This versatile multi-purpose complex includes an arena for sporting events, concerts, and family entertainment as well as dance, theatre and trade shows. Also included under the civic center roof is a 7,335 square foot banquet facility appropriately named Heritage Hall as it highlights the rich history of athletics in Glens Falls, NY.

Following the renovation of its permanent seats in the summer of 2007, the Glens Falls Civic Center has become a management property of Global Spectrum as of April 2008.

Global Spectrum is the fastest growing firm in the public assembly facility management field with more than 80 facilities throughout the United States and Canada. The Philadelphia-based company is part of one of the world’s largest sports and entertainment firms Comcast-Spectacor, which also owns the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association, Flyers Skate Zone, a series of community ice skating rinks, Comcast SportsNet, a regional sports programming network, Ovations Food Services, a food and beverage services provider, New Era Tickets, a full-service ticketing and marketing product for public assembly facilities, and Front Row Marketing Services, a commercial rights sales company and 3601 Creative Group, a full-service in-house advertising agency. In a partnership with Disson Skating, Comcast-Spectacor annually produces 10 nationally televised figure skating spectaculars on NBC.
