Glens Falls Civic Center to Host the Second Annual Celtic Festival
Featuring a Live Performance by The McKrells Proceeds to benefit the Adirondack Saratoga Chapter American Red Cross on Sunday, March 5, from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The McKrellsThe Glens Falls Civic Center will host the second annual Celtic Festival featuring a live performance by The McKrells on Sunday, March 5, from 12:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. All proceeds from this event will benefit the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter.

This festival will feature Irish influenced music, entertainment and vendors throughout the afternoon. In addition to The McKrells, other musical performances will be given by Adirondack Pipe and Drum, Donna Adams-Profeta, a Celtic harpist, Galloway Gaelic Pipe and Drum, Shirae and more. Additional entertainment includes games and activities, bounce houses, folklore storytelling, a visit from the Easter Bunny and a Leprechaun. A traditional corn beef and cabbage lunch will be given in Heritage Hall from 12:00 p.m. through 2:00 p.m. for an additional fee.

celtic fest“We are proud to bring this community, family friendly event to the area and with the McKrell’s commitment to perform, we know this will be the event everyone wants to go to,” said Eileen Reardon, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter. In addition to the scheduled entertainment, the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter will provide demonstrations through mock shelters, blood donor solicitation, health and safety instruction and volunteer recruitment. “The American Red Cross has assisted individuals in their greatest time of need around the world, around the nation and around the corner. This event allows us to demonstrate not only the pride we have, but the services we provide to our community,” Reardon concluded.

(62 & up) $10 at door

Children 12 years and younger are free, group discounts are available for the festival.

Corn beef & cabbage dinner price: $6 per person/all ages

The American Red Cross, Adirondack Saratoga Chapter is dedicated to saving lives and helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Led by a volunteer Board of Directors with 950 other volunteers and 10 paid employees, the local Red Cross is supported by community donations and provides services to Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton and southern Essex Counties. Last year the Red Cross ran 650 aquatic courses and 950 first aid and CPR courses, collected over 14,000 units of whole blood, helped deliver 275 emergency messages for members of our armed forces, and assisted more than 250 neighbors who were affected by local disasters.

The Glens Falls Civic Center is an arena hosting sports and entertainment activities year-round for over twenty-five years. Home to the United Hockey League's Adirondack Frostbite and the Adirondack Wildcats of the United States Basketball League, it hosts a variety of sports, theater, and family entertainment events.
