Handicap Policies

The Glens Falls Civic Center offers seating for patrons who are handicapped or who have special needs.  Seating is available on the promenade level for hockey games and on the promenade and arena floor levels for concerts and shows.  Please notify the box office when purchasing tickets if you require special seating arrangements.

For those with Handicapped Parking licenses or permits, parking is available directly in front of the building.  The spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

For our hearing impaired patrons, the Civic Center has two hearing-assisted devices available for complimentary use.  Please contact the administrative office at 518-798-0366 if you wish to reserve this equipment in advance.  It is loaned on a first-come, first-served basis.  For information at an event, please see the nearest Emergency Medical Technician on duty.

Walking Policies

- At the start of each calendar year, all walkers are required to register in the Civic Center Administrative Office.

- Walkers ages 12-17 must register with the written consent of their parent or guardian.

- Walkers under the age of 12 are not permitted.

- Buttons will be issued to identify those individuals participating in the walking program.

Registration Fees:

Glens Falls Residents - $5.00 per year Glens Falls Senior Citizens (65+) - $4.00 per year

Non-Resident - $10.00 per year

Nonresident Senior Citizen - $8.00 per year


Regular walking hours are 7:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. every day of the week. The Civic Center reserves the right to restrict walking due to events or building maintenance. Whenever possible, advance notice of special hours will be posted on the bulletin board in the lobby.Please do not park in the main parking lot during regular business hours; 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. These parking spaces are for those patrons conducting business in the building. Walking across the parking lot is also a great way to add to your exercise time."Today's Direction" is indicated by arrows. On even days of the month, walkers go clockwise and on the odd days, counterclockwise. Switching directions gives your body a new challenge.Approximately 6.27 laps equals one mile on the inside lane of the track. Approximately 5.87 laps equals one mile on the outside lane. Runners should use the outside lane and walkers should use the inside lane. Be courteous of others and do not block both lanes.

Walkers are encouraged to refer to the stretching, target heart rate, and warm-up and cool-down posters, which are located throughout the arena. Informative materials promoting heart healthy behaviors are also displayed on the bulletin board and brochure rack.

*If you experience pain, shortness of breathe, chest pain or pressure, extreme fatigue, dizziness, lightheadedness, or any unusual signs or symptoms - STOP IMMEDIATELY and consult your doctor!
